What If
What could this hidden tax money do if it was returned to the taxpayer
Well we are looking at several decades of Local Government hidden investments plus all of the dividends/shares compound interest and profit on those investments so we expect everyone in Wales would become overnight multimillionaires.
However what if rather then returning the tax money, the Local Authorities started using it for the people’s benefit (that is why they are supposed to be there isn’t it??????). Well it would give the Welsh economy an economic boom the likes of which has never before been experienced anywhere in the world.
The wealth could be used to -
1. Fund the running of the Port Talbot Steelworks indefinitely.
2. Prevent further school closures and rebuild every school/college in Wales.
3. Prevent any further cutbacks and austerity imposed on Wales by the UK Government/EU etc.
4. Reduce and potentially eliminate everyone’s taxes in Wales.
5. Eliminate Homelessness
6. Scrap the Severn bridge tolls indefinitely.
7. Instead of charging Council Tax every one of the 1,326,441 households in Wales could be paid a dividend check of around several thousand pounds per year.
